Completed in 2005, this complex has 125 units. Like Independent Heights, it is a HUD affordable housing project for the elderly, but differs in that it will be financed through tax credits and will have a good number of larger units for families. The individual unit plans have been designed to meet the specific needs of seniors. Elevators will be split to reduce walking distances from the parking lots. Amenities such as a health club, multi-purpose room and swimming pool will be included, as well as outside storage areas for individual units provided. Ornamental metal fences and electric gates will provide security, while landscaping and exterior lighting will blend the project nicely in with a transitional neighborhood on Houston's southeast side.
