This is a ten-story affordable housing project for the elderly for which Jim Gwin served as the lead architect over twenty years ago. In 2000, due to years of deferred maintenance and a desire to increase efficiency, a major restoration of the exterior walls was performed. The original grey and red exterior was replaced with a color scheme of terra cotta and ochre that reflects many of the historical buildings in the area. A tinted and mildly reflective coating was applied to the windows, a treatment that is especially beneficial for the units facing west, since the tenants pay their own utility bills.
