We are committed to offering our clients the opportunity to utilize the full range of green building design, tailored to suit the needs and constraints and each project. Team members who are accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) are recognized by the designation LEED AP or LEED accredited professional. Buildings can achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification by utilizing the LEED Green Building Rating System. A LEED AP on your team can help you determine what your options are and how you can achieve the certification level you desire, ranging from Silver to Gold to Platinum, which depend upon the extent to which the project incorporates design and systems alternatives that are recognized for their energy and environmental conservation. Currently, in addition to Jim Gwin, our lead project architect and CAD specialist is LEED accredited, as well as our landscape architect consultant.

The key point here is that whether your building is green certified or not, you will be exposed to green building concept options throughout the design and construction process. As the owner, you will be in a better position to make informed decisions about how your project’s design and construction will affect the environment and your energy costs now and in the future. See Red Grass Ranch in the Residential Projects section for some green building examples. And as you can see from the images below, green building design concepts have been around for a long, long time.
