This home was built in 1924 and purchased by the architect in 1986. Renovations included exterior landscaping as well as complete reconfiguration of the interiors. The kitchen was rebuilt and separated from a utility room while opening to the adjacent den. Key historical features--such as the old pine entry door, pendant light fixtures and plaster friezes--were retained, as were the glass block placements in the den. The master bathroom and second bath were both completely reconfigured and modernized. Furnishings are a blend of antiques and modern furniture and an eclectic art collection. A garage studio containing all varnished pine walls, ceilings and floors was reconfigured as a home office.
